L.P Burn it Down in style this 2012

The talented Mike Shinoda wrote a blog post informing the world that Linkin Park would be releasing a new single from their upcoming album The Living Things, called Burning it Down.

Now Linkin Park, despite what critics might say are an innovative band who show time and time again that it’s about the journey rather than the destination. With each album they have continued to experiment and explore music, unafraid to push boundaries and take risks. I suppose their first album laid the path for a decade of versatility with the apt name “Hybrid Theory.”

Since then, with hits like; One Step CloserCrawling, Paper-cut,  In the end, Numb, Session, Leave out all the rest, What I’ve done, Iridescent (took me a while to spell that) and many many more.

Early this morning, Burning It Down blared through my speakers and as always, Linkin Park caused something to stir within me. The reality of their content coupled with mesmerising music led to an explosion of sheer class and excellence through my headphones. Yes, to those who’ve been listening to linking park since the beginning of the 21st century, the song is an acquired taste, but give it a couple of listens and you’ll be begging for more.

As Shinoda says “I loved the journey towards a new, unknown sound,” we ought to do the same.

Six guys. Six different Styles. One result. Excellence.
