What happens in February once every four years?

If you don’t know the answer, or are some wise crack who answered with a sporting contest, a lunatic asylum awaits your presence.

Nevertheless, seeing as I am a humble cyber samaritan, I shall fill your coffers with the answer and more!

The answer – A leap day on 29th of February once every four years

Ever since it’s conception by Ceaser in 45BC, there have been 514 leap years!

Contrary to popular belief, it was not invented by cheap parents to only give their children gifts once every four years (cough sindhi cough)

Without the extra day every 4 years, we would probably be enjoying our summer holidays right now (for those in the northern hemisphere).

Also, some good news! The Mayan geeks didn’t account for leap years, therefore, according to them, the world as we know it (shush you conspiracy nuts) should have ended 7 months ago!!!

Now shoo, I have given you the gift of trivial knowledge, go impress the world with it. I shall accept letters of appreciation only if they are handwritten.
