Trust is something that cannot be bought and sold on the commodity market and when someone trusts you; it is usually a big deal, unless they have the personality of … or no personality at all.
The point is that when someone opens their door and lets you into their inner sanctum were you are privy to their troubles, secrets and other significant aspects of their life, it is a substantial accomplishment you ought not to squander.
Also, when someone builds a bridge towards you, it is often beneficial to cement that trust by reciprocating in order to create an environment of comfort and deeper understanding.
It’s understandable then that the trust which took so long to earn can be lost in an instant; a loose tongue brought on by a moment of stupidity. Remember, the loved ones who trust you, will continue to love you even if you break their trust due to love’s unconditional nature; however, it is a better compliment to be trusted than to be loved.
Trust is like a vase, once it is broken, though you can fix it, the vase will never be the same again. So maintain it.
