Waiting on Nothing

There is this saying, immortalized by numerous western sitcoms that”if you love someone let them go, if they come back, they are yours, if they do not, they never were.’
While the logic behind that is visible,  the question has to be asked; how long does one have to wait? When do we begin to fill in the void? Perhaps it’s time to stop waiting, because if not now then the time will never be right.

However, as with most things, it is easier said than done. Which is why, our romance riddled cardiac muscles continue to beat intensely, in anticipation of what can be but currently isn’t. This,of course, is until   the person we wait for opts to lie to us and cheat us. It’s an unfortunate course of action they take for it is then we decide that we are no longer willing to wait for nothing, and instead they are forced to realize what thy had, after it is gone.

Everything comes too late to those who wait, or not at all.
